Summer Tee Knits

Jun 20, 2023
2 min read

Summer is not always associated with knitting but if you put your needles away in the summer months you may be missing a trick! Because just because the sun is out it doesn't mean you have to stop the craft you love as there are so many fantastic summer patterns and natural fibre yarns out there to experiment with just now. It's definitely worth considering whipping up a couple of summer tees when the sun shines.

We have put together some ideas for you to make choosing what to do easier. These include some projects for you to knit and wear right now. They range from classic and simple, to some more complex designs, in a variety of weights of yarn. Perfect for getting out those needles (or hook) from wherever you have hidden them and taking them outside for summer garden knitting, or in our case to take to the beach, with a glass of something chilled by your side.

Love this perspective! As someone who spends most of my time with my hands in the soil tending to my garden, I completely understand the urge to keep creating even during the warmer months. There's something so peaceful about knitting with lightweight natural fibers while surrounded by blooming flowers—it’s like combining two of my favorite creative outlets. The idea of taking a project outside to knit in the garden (or beach!) sounds absolutely perfect. Thanks for the inspiration to not let my needles gather dust this summer!

I love this idea! Summer knits are so comfy. It made me think about how sometimes my project photos aren't the best quality. I bet a tool to upscale image would be super helpful for sharing my finished tees online!

Such a lovely and inspiring post for summer knitting ideas! I really enjoyed the balance between style and comfort, and the lightweight tee designs look perfect for warmer weather. The tips and pattern suggestions made the whole topic feel approachable even for knitters trying summer garments for the first time. I recently saw a conversation on https://the915lawyer.com/ about creative hobbies and seasonal projects, and this post reminded me of that same positive energy. Thanks for sharing these beautiful ideas and inspiration!
